Chef Restaurateur ​Scott Pickett​ opened the doors to ​Pastore​ on 1st November 2019: an Italian-inspired all-day dining venue welcoming guests for all occasions. Located at Hotel Chadstone, Pastore—the Italian word for ‘shepherd’—honours the area’s heritage once rich with pasture and orchards. From small plates to full tasting experiences, the menu by Pickett draws focus on woodfire-fuelled cooking and handmade pasta; showcasing Italian cuisine through contemporary Australian references. Pastore is open for dinner between 6.00pm – 9.00pm Tuesday to Saturday, and for lunch 12.00pm – 2.00pm Thursday to Saturday .

I’d love to share my journey with you. My passion for great produce began early and it’s formed the foundation of what I’m about as a chef and restaurateur today. From my childhood in Kangarilla to my life-changing experiences in London, and now as a chef and restaurant owner in Melbourne, it’s been a wild ride.
